Museum of Science President Ioannis (Yannis) Miaoulis announced in October 2004 that Fentress Architects was selected to help implement the Museum’s strategic plan. This ambitious plan emphasizes fully integrating technology into programs and exhibits, expanding outreach to the broadest possible audience, and renovating current galleries to improve the overall visitor experience.

The Museum of Science conducted an extensive review of its facilities, programmatic plans and services. As a result, recommendations for enhanced programs and exhibits, a new focus on technology, improved circulation patterns, visitor amenities and better working space for staff were presented to the Board.
