Denver International Airport Passenger Terminal Complex
Denver, Colorado USA

The terminal's peaked, white roof is an iconic landmark that welcomes air travelers to the West. Rising from the semiarid plains northeast of downtown Denver, the roof line mimics the peaks and valleys of its Rocky Mountain backdrop. The interior space is flooded with natural daylight from the translucent roof fabric and an abundance of clerestories and curtainwalls. At night, the roof emits a soft glow, becoming a beacon on the agricultural plains.

The great hall is divided into smaller areas through strategically placed telephone booths, flight displays and park-like seating arrangements, which allow passengers to relax in more intimate spaces. Granite floor patterns throughout the interior establish clear, direct circulation paths while mimicing the peaks of the roof and the Rockies. See sustainable design features
