Denver International Airport Passenger Terminal Complex
Denver, Colorado
USA

Project Highlights

* Tensile fabric roof reduces energy costs of cooling by allowing heat to escape through roof
* Natural daylight levels within the terminal provide ample light for interior landscaping, while heat gain is minimized
* Terminal is one of the world’s largest naturally daylit structures
* Design of the roof significantly reduced material requirements (structural steel, roofing material, embodied energy, etc) while providing a durable, self-cleaning 50-year system
* Innovative stone flooring system significantly reduced structural requirements, saving hundreds of tons of steel
