Curtis Fentress infused Korean culture and heritage into the passenger terminal design, with sweeping rooflines that reflect traditional Korean architecture and gardens filled with abundant natural daylight in the Great Hall. Incheon has become a memorable gateway to the Asia-Pacific region, with a strong sensitivity to place and people. Passenger amenities include user-friendly layouts, moving walkways, easily accessible retail spaces and high-tech features such as cyber ports and self check-in kiosks. The Airports Council International's annual passenger quality survey awarded Incheon the “World's Best Airport” every year for eight consecutive years, 2005-2012. In 2009, Incheon rose to the top of Skytrax's World Airport Awards, in a survey of 8.6 million airline passengers covering more than 190 airports globally, to win another “World's Best Airport” title.
