Responding to the region's desert landscape and mountain backdrop, Fentress' design comes alive with references to cantilevered rock formations,
mountain crevices, cracked desert floors, and lush oases. The structure's rolling roofline appears to float above rugged, canted stone pylons.
The firm demonstrated its principle of “celebrating the entry” by reorienting the main entrance to face west, in the process
engaging the Center with the city's urban core and creating a grand lobby that frames picture-postcard views of the San Jacinto Mountains.
Expanded event spaces flow seamlessly from indoors to outdoors. The award-winning expansion transforms the Center into a meeting oasis.
